This past Memorial Day CrossFit Decatur Raised over $5,000 to send to Food For The Poor to have wells built in poverty stricken villages in Haiti. Today December 2, 2009 one of our wells was dedicated the children of Haiti and is giving fresh running water to those in need. Thank you so much to clients of CrossFit Decatur and participants of this fundraiser. Job well done!
Thanks for posting the pictures! It is great to see the well in place, and know it is bringing safe drinking water to the village. Thanks Ed, and thanks all who did the grueling Fight Gone Bad to raise the money!
I just got back from this trip. The kids were great and the difference this well will make is incredible. Many kids die before they are 5 years old in Haiti…due to water borne illnesses. This well will prevent that for thousands of kids and help others to grow up stronger and better able to handle life’s challenges. I am so very proud to be associated with Crossfit Decatur, its trainers and the fine people who work out there.
What a great cause, and how easy for us to pour a little sweat so those in need can have a lot of life sustaining water. Great job CFD, and way to go Ed for getting us all involved. Can’t wait for the next challenge!!!

I totally agree Kristan! Super proud of this gift from CrossFit Decatur. These kids are so precious and they are very thankful for this well. This well in their village means that they can go to school and get educated as opposed to having to walk 5-10 miles every morning as a chore to a near village or lake to fetch water for the family. The smiles on all their faces are priceless! Thanks again to all who participated in this Water Relief Project!
